Students will create a great metal airplane using various metal working techniques. It is my belief that as instructors’, we should take help our students to the 80 – 90 % finished state like we have done with the attached instructions. The remaining 10 – 20 % should be different for each student. As for an example you might get three students that want to build a Bi-plane and a few more that want to build a Fighter Jet; this is what you want because you have sparked their interest in metal work. You should always encourage your students to go beyond the basic project and they will add in their own personal touches. These extras will lead your class to want to use other tools such as the lathe or the milling machine.
