This 4 page Power Point Presentation defines what metamorphic rocks are, how they form and where, and answers how metamorphic rocks are classified. First my classes create a foldable using a blank piece of computer paper. We fold it once in half hamburger style, half again hamburger style, unfold, then fold the shorter edges to the center fold. We cut each of the two front flaps down the middle to create four front flaps. (A picture of some foldables is within the PPT.)The first slide of the PPT shows students how they should label the front of their foldable. Each following slide has the info that is written inside the foldable. This foldable serves as the notes on metamorphic rocks. Students like creating their notes and enjoy reviewing!!
