Types of Meters included:

Teaching them to try and reach a growth mindset may help provoke more effort and produce improvement in their work.

What Motivates Me Meter: Use this meter to learn more about your students and what motivates them. By having students fill in the boxes, you can learn how they like to be praised, what type of rewards they like, and ultimately how to reach that intrinsic motivator, a true growth mindset!

Motivation Meter: Use this meter to help students track progress on a goal and motivate them to reach success.

Goal Meter: Use this meter to track student goals. They can write down their goal, make a plan with steps to accomplish that goal, and then celebrate their success!

Mood & Feelings Meters: Use these meters to check in on feelings. What is your mood? By talking through problems and teaching coping skills, students can start to rise up on the meter to improve their mood or feeling.

Stress Meter: This 1-5 scale meter can be used to measure student stress levels or anxieties. You can discuss what coping strategies work best at each level.

1-5 Blank Meter & My _____ Meter: Use these meter templates to create your own meter for students or for students to design their own. Examples could be a feelings scales for anger, feelings about middle school, behaviors, etc.

Work Success Meter: This meter can be used to help keep students on track and monitor their work habits. It is a great tracking tool to see how many reminders were needed.
