I always teach my students the trick "King Henry Doesn't Usually Drink Chocolate Milk" to help them with how to convert units throughout the metric system. This craftivity can adapt to whichever trick you use for your students...yours may be different than mine :)
Students create a caterpillar that they can keep on their desks to help them in the beginning of the metric conversions unit. Eventually, I ask them to turn it over...and later we remove it from our desks completely. This is super cute bulletin board decor out in our hallway, as well! The kids just love their caterpillars and it really helps them remember how to convert!!
This craftivity is part of a larger set of craftivities/activities I sell at my TpT store HERE on my TpT store!!
