Metric Length Interactive Notebook Pages for Measurement in Science

Description
There are four metric length Interactive Notebook pages in this resource. The pages are intended to introduce or review the basics of measuring length with rulers in the metric system. Teachers can use all four pages or choose the pages best suited for the needs of their students. A complete answer key is included. Read below for a description of each Interactive Notebook page.
- Part 1 introduces students to using the metric system in science to measure length. It also covers using rulers correctly.
- Part 2 introduces the idea of a ruler showing centimeters and millimeters and gives students practice measuring in both units.
- Part 3 introduces students to the units of the metric system, the units most commonly used to measure length, and conversions between the units. Six practice problems are given.
- Part 4 instructs students to use the most appropriate unit of measurement in different situations and has an activity where students use rulers or metersticks to find an object in the room closest to a listed measurement.
