PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Students will move through 4 events where they can practice measuring length with metric units. The four events are:

1. Skating: Students will use a ruler and dice to measure centimeters
2. Hockey: Students will push a hockey puck and measure how many meters the puck moved using meter stick made from sentence strips
3. Snowboarding: Students will push a snowboard made from card-stock, estimate how many centimeters it traveled, then measure using unit cube
4. Skiing: Students will use pictures of mountains with a skiing line and estimate how many cubes long the line is and then measure using cubes. Each cube will be equal to a kilometer.
