Description

This real-world problem solving activity will have your students BEGGING to work with metric measurements. Students can work alone or in pairs to work through 4 different zoo deliveries where they must record their work with kilograms. The group that correctly completes all 4 shipments first wins and early finishers have the option to complete an additional challenge! This activity reinforces the 3rd grade Common Core fraction standards (listed below).

This game consists of 4 leveled sets of problems.

Level 1: Add 2-digit and 3-digit kilogram measurements

Level 2: 2 Steps (Add 3-digits and Subtract from 1,000) kilogram measurements

Level 3: Multiplication by multiples of 10 kilogram measurements

Level 4: Division (Calculate how many animals can fit in a single truck) kilogram measurements
