This metric system task card set contains 32 cards with metric conversions, metric word stories, and comparisons of various metric lengths with greater than, equal to, or less than style questions. Great for extra practice, review, a quick bell-ringer, or for differentiation at a station. I've also used them in game-type settings with the whole class in groups and as an informal formative assessment. Gets my students away from worksheets that can get monotonous or be overwhelming and "chunks" out the work.
The following prefixes and English measurements are used: kilo, milli, centi, the base units of meter, liter, and gram, and feet, inches, and miles. The English measurement conversions give the student the conversion factor on the card.
Also included are four different answer sheets - two of them are "2-up" to save copies, the other two are single pages to give students more room to write.
They are full-color cards with graphics on every card - print them once in color, laminate them and get years of use out of them!
