Let your sociology or geography students construct virtual tours of metropoles. Students will briefly research a Metropolis and present their findings to the class as a Google Tour. Google Tours is a user-friendly and interactive way to use maps, images, and videos to tour locations virtually.
If you do not have access to Google Tours, have your students create a slide show or a poster or trifold instead. The resources are editable, so you can change the directions to suit your needs.
☑An editable rubric and check list
☑Cards from which to select a metropolis(also editable)
☑A printable Google Tours Tutorial
☑An editable student note sheet so that students can record what they learn from the various tours.
☑Editable Exit ticket for presentation day.
☑An editable quiz template
Each pair will draw a metropolis from the selection cards.
They will briefly research the metropolitan area and create a Google Tour according to the checklist and rubric.
Pairs will present the tour to the class and students will take notes about each metropolis.
The teacher will use the exit tickets to create a quiz.
Students will use their notes to complete the quiz.
