Mexican American War Webquest
Students will gain basic knowledge about the Mexican-American War by completing an internet-based worksheet. The Mexican-American War webquest uses an amazing virtual museum website by Smithsonian National Museum of American History. The website allows students view historical artifacts and gives a basic overview of the conflict.
The webquest contains forty questions and is a great way to introduce or review key facts and events related to the Texas Revolution and the Mexican-American War. An answer sheet is included for the teacher.
My students love examining and reading about the Mexican-American War artifacts from the website. I usually use this webquest as a review activity for my students and it takes at least one class period for my students to complete the webquest. Feel free to modify this activity if needed to fit the needs of your students.
