This exciting lesson is a great way to celebrate CINCO DE MAYO in your classroom. The lesson was designed to have students research the meaning of different Mexican foods and create a glossary of "Mexican Food " terms. It is a cool lesson because students learn cultural aspects of food. There are many ways to do this lesson. You can divide the class in small groups and give them 4 to 5 words per group. Work together as a class to complete the glossary.

2. The word search is a great way to reinforce spelling and a fun homework assignment. Make it a competition for homework pass.
3. "EL Mariachi" Have students label the whimsical "Mariachi" complete the worksheet and review Body Parts and Clothing in Spanish.
**EL RESTAURANTE MEJICANO- Have students create a menu using the items and do a skit. Using " La Comida- Spanish Restaurant Dialogue Script- Students can have their own typical restaurant.
** Students can pick five of the "Comidad Mejicanas" and do a powerpoint called. " "Mis Comidas Mejicanas Favoritas" Develop oral istening skills and speaking skills in Target language.
