This fabulous documentary by the History Channel offers excellent information about the causes, campaigns and political climate of both the United States and Mexico during the Mexican-American War. The run time is 1:28:52.
Included in this editable guide are 77 questions to keep your students focused on the documentary. Questions are fill in the blank, short answer, or true/false. Once they have completed the work and checked their answers (an answer key is included) they will have detailed notes to keep.
I recommend showing the answers to students on a projector once the film is done. They may want to collaborate/share notes during the film.
Students may want to talk about American Imperialism and Manifest Destiny. This documentary fosters many good class discussions.
