PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Intermediate / advanced high school Spanish students conduct an inquiry based learning project on Mexico Culture with this detailed project and rubric. All materials are 100% in Spanish, except the grading rubric, which is in English. Students select a topic about Mexican culture from the list, and then research it and develop a presentation to share with the class. Topics vary from historical figures (Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz) to modern day icons (Carlos Slim) to cultural concepts (machismo).

My students work alone or in pairs of two, allowing for differentiation, and complete this project comfortably within a week and a half. The project experience develops research and tech literacy, presentational and interpretive Spanish language skills, while developing cultural knowledge.
