Description
In the 1960s, Michigan State football coach Duffy Daugherty recruited the segregated South. His teams led the integration of college football not only by knocking down doors in the segregated South, his fully integrated rosters set the example for schools with a long history of integration that had limited their rosters to a half-dozen or so black players. The material in this 10-question quiz is from the book:
Raye of Light
Jimmy Raye, Duffy Daugherty, the 1965-66 Michigan State Spartans and the integration of college football.
Foreword by Tony Dungy, Pro Football Hall of Fame coach.
