Product Description
Writing fluency! Fast Fiction Fifty-Five Word Stories arms teachers with a fun writing assessment tool that students will create and evaluate. The peer tutoring worksheet allows them to read and evaluate a partner’s writing. It also gives students a lifetime skill of improved writing fluency that will help them meet future writing goals.

Students should write in active voice and show, not tell, what is happening in the stories. Dialogue can also add much to the voice in the story. Description is an important part of the activity.

Students write a fifty-five word story which includes a setting, character(s), conflict and resolution. Students will keep writing files of individual writings with the idea that they might expand the Fast Fiction into a portfolio piece at a later time.

Two examples of Fast Fiction are included in the powerpoint. A PDF and Word document of the PQP writing evaluation and the exit pass are included.

Students may opt to read their Fast Fiction pieces during Author’s Chair.

Unit includes:
*Explanation of Fast Fiction Fifty-Five Word Fiction
*Powerpoint slides explaining the assignment
*Assignment in Word docx and PDF
*PQP partner evaluation in Word docx and PDF
*Exit Pass
