This two-page exam (one full-page for conserving the number of copies run off) is a summative assessment for a Microbiology chapter scripted in a Human Anatomy and Physiology textbook. Students begin by defining eight terms. Then students classify the pathogenic class and portal of entry for seven diseases/conditions. In the third section, students identify whether ten conditions are caused by a bacterium, virus, protozoan, animal (invertebrate), or fungus. In the fourth section, students identify the pathogenic class and biological vector (if applicable) for six disease conditions. In the final section, students write an essay to address the specific course of action they would take as community leaders for a specified localized outbreak. This document is editable. Point values are tentatively assigned for the answers in each section. A two-page color coated answer key is provided.
