This *FREEBIE* allows students to manipulate a microscope on their own and attempt to observe the wonderful images within the slide. For upperclassmen- or students who have had practice with microscopes in the past- this worksheet is intended to have them create the procedure list for how to properly use a microscope. This student led activity may be a challenge for some and will be a great way for them to not only practice their microscope skills, but their procedure writing, too!

After students write their procedures, they will then make observations about their microscopic image, draw their image and also calculate the magnification value.
