This collaborative art lesson is I think the best lesson I've ever created. All of my students from the AP kids to the Special Ed students were able to be challenged and successful. It is an art lesson for classroom teachers as well as art teachers. This is a great way to teach students about the Elements of Color and Form with a Science tie-in.
The final project is a slot sculpture created with oil pastels using Microscopic Cells as reference. The final sculpture was displayed in our office and everyone absolutely loved it. Most importantly it set the classroom tone and culture in a positive way and got us off to a great start!
