In this fun lab, students will produce tiny Valentine's Day Cards and use microscope skills to view them. It also comes with a fun bonus activity!
I'm new to TPT, and would love feedback if you have a minute. I'm adding new content on a weekly basis, so click follow me under my store name to be the first to know.

A. SUGGESTED USES
Prior Knowledge: This lab can be part of an introduction to microscopes, or as a stand-alone reinforcement activity. I try to expose my students to concepts and skills as often as I can throughout the year. For example, my students did the microscope lab in November, so I will use this lab as a fun reinforcement lab to give them review/extra practice with the microscope. Students need a basic understanding of the parts of the microscope, and how to use it, in order to be successful in this lab.
Implementing the Lesson:
Materials and Setup: Students will need a light microscope, scissors, printer paper square, glass slide, cover slip, eye dropper, 50 mL beaker and water.
*Sometimes I pre-cut the little squares of printer paper before the lab to save time.
Notes: My students love the bonus activity, but I've moved it to its own page in this document in the event that you do not want to include it (might depend on your school’s cell phone policy).
