In my new series of Excel assignments, students will learn Excel on a deeper level using the video method. In this method, students watch a video that shows how to do each feature in the assignment, but does not take them through the actual assignment. The video now includes a Table of Contents, which allows the student to skip or re-watch needed features. The student then uses the step by step directions to complete the assignment with a provided starter.
This method has proven more effective than traditional demonstration, as it requires a higher level of thinking and retention. In Lesson 1, students learn basic formatting in Excel, including: Merge & Center Shading, Format Cells, Cut & Paste, Borders, Sorting, Inserting Pictures, and even Conditional Formatting.
File also includes the Vocabulary Tutorial designed to be done before Lesson 1.
