Product Description
Microsoft Office Problem Based Learning (PBL) Projects 6-10

Project 6 – Webpage (Online)
Duration: 1 week
Students enjoy this project. I use this project as an opportunity to talk to students about their social media and explain how colleges and employers will be looking at their accounts.

Project 7 – Post High School (PPT)
Duration: 1 week
This project is great for research. Students have the opportunity to look into what they would like to pursue after high school. When students complete this project I often talk about their resume and goals. Perhaps they need to make revisions to their future resume (project 5) or goals (project 3). Do they need to think about their GPAs, volunteer work, or internships?

Project 8 – Budget (Excel)
Duration: 1 week
I think this project is important for students. This project gives students an opportunity to learn how money is managed in a household.

Project 9 – Ledger (Access)
Duration: 1 week
This project is a slow introduction to databases. I first show entering data. It also shows the difference between Excel (project 8) and Access (project 9). Future projects move on to tables, forms, queries, and reports (projects 11, 12, and 19).

Project 10 – GPA (Access)
Duration: 1 week
This is the most difficult project in class, but the students enjoy this project because it is rewarding once they figure out the formulas. The purpose of this project is to teach students they can figure out anything if they put in the time and effort. It also benefits them with class planning.
