I use this activity to help my students learn where all the buttons are on the ribbon tabs in Microsoft Word and Excel. Each student is given a stack of command button cards. Then their task is to find the location of the command button on the ribbon then manually clothespin them to ribbons hung in the front of the room under the correct heading. I use this primarily in my computer training courses with adults who are just learning how to use computer applications or are converting from an older version of Microsoft Office which did not feature the ribbon such as 1997 or 2003 versions. I have also used this with my SPED students when we are training them in clerical skills as a fun motivational activity.
