Microsoft Word 2010 Activity- Creating Columns in Word (Schools Banning iPods Article)
Note: Article is a page and a half. Directions on 2nd page too.
This fun assignment can be used in a Microsoft Office/Keyboarding, etc. class. This assignment consists of creating columns in Word. Students are to type an article about how schools are banning iPods to beat cheaters- students from cheating on assignments with their ipods. They'll laugh at you while they type the article but tell them to read while they type because it is true! Students will enjoy reading the article while typing it. Students will learn how to insert columns, type in columns, and use the this point forward feature so that their title isn't in the first column. Detailed directions are provided for creating the columns. Your students should enjoy typing the article instead of the boring stuff we find in textbooks.
