Word Screen Labeling Project
Overview: In this project, students will insert a picture of the Microsoft Word screen into their document. They will then label the different parts of the word screen with arrows and text boxes. The allotted time is roughly 50-60 minutes. In this project the teacher will need to make an image (comes with download) accessible to students.
The students directions portion is roughly 10 pages and contains pictures to guide students through the step to complete the assignment.
This project helps students become familiar with the basic parts of the Microsoft Word screen.
The download includes:
1 picture file (students will insert this into their document)
Change Page Orientation
Insert a picture
Center a picture
Insert shapes and modify line style and color
Copy and Paste
Change font size
Inserting Word Art
Time: Roughly 50-60 minutes, depending on the skill level of your students. Some students may take up to 90 minutes.
Before You Begin:
• Included in the download is a picture titled “Microsoft Word Screen Shot”. You need to put this picture in a location that students have access to.
• Make sure the Word Screen Parts Assignment Student Directions is available to students to open and view. These directions could be put in a shared read only folder that students have access to.
