This is called an electronic worksheet, because students can edit it directly on the computer. The worksheet comes in two forms, a Word Document and a PDF file. While it would be doable to print out a hard copy for student use, this might not be cost effective. Students can use Word to open the worksheet and complete it in Word. The duration for this is roughly 50 minutes - depending the skill level of the students.
Overview: This worksheet will help students become familiar with the Ribbons, Tabs, Groups and Commands in Microsoft Word 2013. Students will learn the basic structure of Word – namely Tabs, Ribbons, Groups and Commands. Students will list out the tabs and search for different groups and commands within several different ribbons.
Before You Begin:
Put a copy of the Ribbons and Tabs Electronic Worksheet in a read-only folder that all students have access to. Go through the main parts of the worksheet and get a feel for what students will be doing.
