Do you need lower intermediate ESL English exams to cover a whole term? Is formatting in Word causing you headaches?

Here are two exams (mid-term and end-of-term) ready to be submitted and photocopied (just add your school name!) - no need for stress!

There are answer keys and a template for student answer sheets (the teacher's answer key can be over-layed on top of the student answers for fast marking of the multi-choice.

Both exams contain:
• Reading comprehension (10 multi-choice questions)
• Dialogue (10 multi-choice questions)
• Vocabulary (10 fill in the blanks from a box of vocab words)
• Writing section


The end of term exam is longer and it contains a Grammar Section - Adjectives ending in "ed" or "ing" cloze passage.

The generic language content of the exams are as follows:
• Physical description
adjectives (e.g. blonde / curly / plump / skinny...)
Adjectives of emotion (e.g. upset / embarrassed / depressed / furious...)
Can for permission (e.g. Mum, can I borrow the car tonight?)
Can for ability (talent / skill)
Vocabulary of careers (e.g. plumber / ballerina / composer / architect / engineer...)
Crime (e.g. mugger / robber / forgery / kidnap...)
Past Simple (including questions with "did")
Past continuous
Travel / Tours of London Sites
