Product Description
Niccolo Machiavelli is a fascinating and misunderstood historical figure. Resentful of the ruling (and often corrupt) Medici Family in Florence, Machiavelli wrote an infamous book, The Prince, analyzing how they gained and maintained power. His observations of their ruthless, cunning, and disloyal ways instead became synonymous with his name; to this day we refer to such methods and tactics as "Machiavellian Politics". In this short but informative reading (with visuals), student gain context of the time period and insight into Machiavelli and The Prince, before analyzing short primary source excerpts from the famous book and then providing deep thoughts on these lessons in the world and their lives today. Really great for discussion afterward!
