This Middle Ages Map is so much fun and a great way to allow kids to prove that they can apply the map skills/geography you have taught them. They will use their knowledge of a compass rose, cardinal and intermediate directions, map key, symbols, and map title. They will follow a checklist of directions to create their map. They will use creativity to make it "their own". My class LOVED this! They enjoyed it so much that they asked me if they could do another one.
Examples of the steps they follow:
- Give your map a title and write it across the north side of the page.
- Draw 4 huts symbols west of the castle.
- Draw the symbol for road from the castle door southeast to the bottom of the page.
This product includes a title page with finished example, a directions page, and a rubric.
