Let your students get creative! This handout asks students to research a Middle Ages topic of their choice, then show their understanding of it by creating a visual. This visual may be a drawing, diagram, sculpture, model or even a costume! Students are then asked to label their visual as well as write a descriptive paragraph that incorporates their research.
Included is the handout with instructions, a list of research topics, a checklist grading sheet, and pictures of student examples.
This project took my student about one week. I usually give one class for research and note taking then students work on their visuals at home. After a week, I give them another class to write and edit their paragraphs.
