Over 200 teachers have downloaded this product which serves as an introduction to the Middle East - particularly in regard to the causes for divisiveness: Arabs vs non-Arabs; Sunni vs Shi'a; oil rich vs oil poor; monarchies, theocracies and controversial,multi-party democracies; etc
The thrust of the aforementioned is to enable the student to have a sense for the rifts that cause such conflict in the Middle East. It will inevitably lead the student to ask lots of questions which will lead to more in-depth study of the region.
The product includes a variety of charts, graphs, maps, political cartoons and photos for the student to analyze. I have also added a quiz on the material in this power point.
There are also notes for the teacher included on many of the slides (when not in Slide Show mode).
