This FREE non-patronizing, decodable phonics reading and dictation passage is suitable for reading intervention with older students, upper elementary pupils, middle school students, high school, EFL, and ESL settings. The passages are helpful for dyslexic students and for reading remediation, as they constantly reinforce the sounds being learned through reading, writing and listening. This is a very effective way of embedding the sounds for students who have working memory difficulties.

If you have students with missing phonics knowledge, then these worksheets will help to reinforce any weak areas. Dictation practice is fantastic for improving spelling and concentration and I have had fantastic success using this method. The worksheets are based on over-learning. The sound is used repeatedly and I try to keep the rest of the text decodable and straightforward to read.
