Description
Perfect for middle school and high school art students, this scratchboard project focuses on our obsession with sharing our lives on social media and how that can translate to artwork. Students are asked to document their day for one day and select one photograph to turn into a scratchboard work of art.
This drawing assignment focuses on creating value in scratchboard by using hatching, cross-hatching, and stippling drawing techniques. The project topic, "a day in the life of" has students think about the role social media has played in the way we document our daily lives. They are asked to bring focus to this by turning a snapshot into a work of art.
