Middle School Art, High School Art, Technology Lesson: Color Schemes and Selfies

- Zip

Description
Technology is an integral part of today's students' lives. From the easy availability of technology to the range of social media, it is an undeniable aspect of daily life. Technology can also serve as a way to enhance the art classroom and connect to the students.
This project is perfect for late elementary art, middle school art, or high school art students. It can also be completed with low supplies, perfect for hybrid teaching, distance learning, virtual students, or in a traditional classroom setting.
This lesson focuses on how color can have a personal connection to our lives. Color combinations can bring back memories, affect our moods, and even push us to buy a product. People often have a favorite color, and it can define our personality. The students are asked to select a color scheme they feel represents them and use it to paint a selfie they took of themselves.
This project file includes:
➢Lesson plan (with vocabulary, national standards, essential questions, big idea, goals, objectives, step by step instructions, materials list)
➢PowerPoint and PDF version of the presentation
