This lesson was used in a middle school reading intervention class. It teaches the skill of comparing and contrasting through the reading of the ancient greek myth of Hercules and the Hydra to the Disney video clip. The purpose of this class is to provide supplemental reading instruction to students who are approaching proficiency in reading in grades 7 and 8.
