This document is used in an ELA classroom in eighth grade, but it could be used essentially in any grade for any subject. Every month, three students volunteer to help the teacher around the classroom. They are a HUGE blessing! Teachers need to work smarter and not harder! This is one way to do it.
The teacher could change the list of jobs to whatever works for them in their classroom. Believe it or not, the kids LOVE DOING IT! They are called classroom managers and they run the room, when the teacher is tied up with attendance, emails, phone calls, absent kids, IEP accommodations, and the 1200 other things going on at once. There are three students in every hour that take care of it all!
They are rewarded with a "paycheck" at the end of the month for their service. They get one item for each week of service (so 4 rewards for a typical month). Paychecks can include homework extension passes, candy, pencils, sticky notes, sit with friend pass, use electronics pass, etc...
