This activity is done whole group, on a Smart Board (but it doesn't have to be Smart, just linked to computer) in an eighth grade ELA classroom, but could be catered to any grade using MLA formatting. It would probably be super helpful in high school.
The teacher selects one of the citation machine websites on the page and walks the students through the process of how to make a citation (and then goes on to show them how to create a Works Cited Page in Word, with the citations they have created together).
The first page has blanks for the students to fill in as the teacher guides the process. The second page has the answers on it, so the teacher can navigate easily with them and prompt students when they need some extra help.
