Middle School English Grammar Review-
Perfect for a 5-minute mini-lesson or warm-up to review for cumulative end of year tests!
Very brief, meant to quickly spiral back and review key topics, especially in preparation for end of year state tests.
I typically do one topic or a few slides in the first 5 minutes of my seventh grade English class to keep these skills fresh! Students can answer orally or on the smartboard, turn in exit tickets (most review topics have only 5-10 questions), or hold up white boards.
Topics include: Subject/Predicate (simple and complex), Sentence/Fragment, Helping Verbs, Principal Parts of Verbs, Irregular Verbs, Adjectives, Prepositions, Singular/Plural Subjects with Verb and Contraction Agreement, Pronouns and Antecedents, Combining Sentences, Chronological Order, Degree of Comparison, Topic Sentence/Supporting Sentence, Logical Order, Sentence Variety.
Over 50 slides of review, with answers- simply continue clicking and the correct answers will appear.
Aligned with Virginia's Standards of Learning (SOLs) for 7th grade.
Editable powerpoint file - you can easily change, delete or add content as you go!
