Find a classmate who…
This product is a fabulous getting to know you game for the start of the year or when beginning with a new class; often referred to as Hunt the Human or Find a Classmate. However, to make it more engaging for older students, this game has a twist!
Divide students into small groups. Each group will get a U.S. map and a set of 50 task cards. Each card has a state name and a question on it
Example - Wisconsin - Find a classmate who went on an air plane this summer
Students divide their card among group members then separate to move around the class asking their classmates questions printed on task cards.
Once they find a classmate who meets the description on their card, they must return back to their group's map to shade in that state on the map and record the student name on a recording sheet.
Each group member can only write down each classmate once, meaning that they interact with a variety of different students.
The first team to completely shade in their US map wins!
