A fun and engaging way to use your color tiles at this Math Station. Students will use the clue cards to solve for how many color tiles are inside the brown bags ( you could also use box to keep the color tiles hidden.) Students are asked to draw, make a table, and record their answers for each bag. 8 bags total. Recording sheets are included for ease of grading.
For this station you will need bags or a box to hold the color tiles.

Mystery Bag #1
Each bag contains a certain number of color tiles. Using the given clues, determine how many of each color there are in your bag. Record your answers below. When you’re finished, check your answers by looking in the bag!
20% of the tiles are green.
Half of the tiles are blue.
3/10 of the tiles are yellow.
There are 20 tiles in the bag.
I set up 8 bags around the classroom at stations and students worked with their partner to solve and check their answers by peeking inside the bags. I have also done checking as a whole class back in home seats after the allotted time for rotations.
