Middle School Speech and Language: Middle School Speech Therapy worksheets that target articulation, language, & fluency! Perfect for mixed groups- and appropriate for the upper elementary crowd as well!

This low ink & no prep Egyptian gods & goddesses packet addresses the following mythological figures: Isis, Ra, Seth, & Anubis!

For each god/ goddess, a paragraph of information is presented. This paragraph will be the same regardless of area targeted (articulation, language, or fluency), to enable you to easily use each worksheet with mixed groups.

Separate questions and instructions are provided on individual worksheets for each god/ goddess that target the following areas:

*Open-Ended Articulation: Student is instructed to circle or highlight target sounds in the paragraph before reading it aloud. Next, they must answer the questions while still focusing on using correct articulation.

*Fluency: Student is instructed to utilize pausing techniques, along with easy onsets and relaxed, slow speech when reading paragraph aloud. Next, they are to utilize the suggested strategy (i.e. voluntary stutter, bouncing, light contact of articulators, or stretching/ elongation) when answering each question.

*Reading Comprehension: Student is instructed to read the paragraph and then answer the comprehension questions (for example, wh questions focusing on factual information and making inferences).

*Word Relationships: Student is instructed to read the paragraph and then answer questions related to the correct understanding of word relationships (i.e. comparative, passive, time-sequence, and familial).

*Vocabulary: Student is instructed to read the paragraph and then answer questions related to vocabulary (for example, formulating definitions, providing antonyms or synonyms for target words, providing another definition for a multiple meaning word, and selecting the correct homophone in a sentence).

*Pragmatics: Student is instructed to read the paragraph and then answer comprehension and social skill scenario questions related to the information. In addition, the student is asked to ask an on-topic and appropriate question to the god/ goddess.

*Grammar & Sentence Structure: Student reads the paragraph and then answers questions focusing on correct use of past tense verbs and conjunctions. Then, the student is instructed to form a grammatically correct, complex sentence when given (3) target words.

Also included: (1) colorful god/ goddess visual card to assist with describing worksheet and (1) describing worksheet for each god/ goddess. Paragraphs are not repeated on these worksheets, but can be used as supplements to your lessons.
