Description
Resistance workouts are a great way to get physical activity when you are short on time, space, and equipment for both students AND adults.
I created these workouts to be used as part of my unit on physical literacy, but they can be used to supplement any physical education curriculum unit or sports practice for individual 13 and up. I have also found this resource to be great independent study work that can be used for distance learning.
In this resource I have included three(3) resistance workouts that can used as part of a routine or as stand alone workouts. The resource has been designed to get progressively more challenging, but progressions/regressions can be substituted to differentiate ability levels so each participant gains confidence through the completion of the workouts.
In addition to teaching high school physical education, I also teach HIIT classes at my local YMCA. These workouts have been embedded into the curriculum I teach there as well. As a credentialed teacher and certified strength and conditioning specialist (NSCA-CSCS) I am committed to helping both students and adults improve their health and fitness.
