Description
This middle or high school art project will fit into any middle or high school art curriculum beautifully. Students use the elements and principles of design to create a radial symmetry mandala. They use their name cut from paper as the framework for the mandala and add collage and other mixed media to add interest and personality to their artwork.
This art lesson works great as a get to know you activity for the first week of school in any art class, or as a creative get to know you icebreaker activity in any classroom. Art supplies can be modified based on availability, but this demonstration uses construction paper, scissors, glue sticks, magazines for collage, markers, and paint markers. This art project is great for distance learning, homeschool art, or in the classroom
