This is a great introductory activity for The Great Gatsby, Modernism, The Roaring Twenties, etc. The students will watch the film "Midnight in Paris" and answer a series of questions that directly relate to the film and all the allusions Gil enquirers. Questions discuss the idea of nostalgia, stream of consciousness, and inference.
I use this with my AP Juniors, but this can be used with any American Literature class.
The students and I discuss their findings upon completion of the film.
