Social Studies Themes Addressed: Migrations (ways and reasons for migrations), African Slave Trade as forced migration, Emancipation and Abolishment of slavery
ELA Themes Addressed: Determining author's perspective of modified exemplar texts (Gettysburg address, MLK I have a dream, Harriet Tubman, Eleanor Roosevelt "On human rights"
Math Themes Addressed: Analyzing numerical data and answering essential questions about migration using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Science Themes Addressed: Animal migration- migration as opposed to hibernation and adaptation in a response to a changing climate/ seasons.
