An engaging, heartwarming story about a middle school monster named Miguel who does a lot of things to try to change his green skin. After a moment of heroism at school, things begin to change for Miguel, and he embraces his differences! In the "old days", this would have been a great story to teach "reflexive verbs", but now it's just a great story that happens to include some of that! Students will learn and be able to talk about much more than reflexive verbs. First, I read it actively with students listening, miming and answering a lot of circling questions. Then we illustrate Miguel and parts of the story. There is so much to do with this story - the sky's the limit!
