Millard Fillmore's faux-autobiography again highlights another presidential administration caught in the crossfire between North and South over the issue of slavery. Riveting and enticing because it is written in the first person, this "autobiography" is perfect for supplemental social studies material and for basic research practice on the President. My lifelong goal is to make reading an irresistible passion for all students, and this addition to my repertoire furthers that goal a little more. PARCC formatted questions and a writing prompt are included for assessment. Enjoy!
