The Young Authors' Conference (grades 3-8) is designed to instill a love of reading and writing, provides an opportunity for area students to celebrate the writing process. Students are invited to attend the conference with a professional author and learn from the author's personal experiences.
This covers many writing standards from 3rd-8th grade from writing to publishing literature.
This mimio goes through each stage of the writing process and gives a lesson on each step. It includes videos, worksheets, and interactive slides to teach prewriting (characters, setting, problem/solution, plot), rough draft, revising (paragraph form, BME, title page, about the author), editing (symbols and examples), publishing (family letter, requirements, and rubrics) and authors that have presented at the conference.
