You students’ minds might be boggled but they’ll enjoy practicing writing rhythms in this fun, inventive play on the classic game of “Boggle.” This set allows for students to work in centers, small groups or large groups and is also a file that you could add to your sub folder or sub tub!
Included in this file:
* 10 worksheets, written in both stick and staff notation. Additionally, the worksheets are also written with larger writing space for students with fine motor or visual impairments.
* 2 Boggle PDFs that include the 10 Boggle boards from the worksheets to be used with the whole group. One PDF is written with in stick notation with note heads and one is written without note heads.
* 10 tally sheets for recording Boggle patterns from the PDF or for use with a rhythm dice version of the game that the teacher might make to use in conjunction with this file (idea for this use is included in the directions portion of this file). Large print versions of these sheets are also included.
** Great assessment tool for rhythm writing and beat & rhythmic element relation comprehension.
Rhythms included in this file:
quarter rests, quarter notes, barred eighth notes (barred in groups of 2), four sixteenth notes, one eighth-two sixteenth notes.
