PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Blank Version
This lesson template guides art teachers to create lessons that not only teach art history and studio techniques, but to use the art classroom as a means of guiding students to achieve a wide range of thought processes. By buying this product you will get the .docx version, so you may enter your own ideas directly into the template.

I created this template as part of my master's thesis in Art Education and used the Studio Habits of Mind (Hetland et al., 2007) as a starting point. I found the Studio Habits of Mind especially intriguing because they are (1) Presented in a direct, succinct manner, (2) Based on direct observation of the classroom, and (3) Based on “excellent” classrooms. In addition I advise creating a mind map of the framework as a means of brainstorming. I find mind maps to be an excellent way to process information beyond an initial reading. By visually rearranging information, you can see ideas in a new way and sometimes make new connections and additions.
