Introduction to Mind Mapping - Freebie!

I am a huge fan of Mind Maps and I think you will be too once you give them a try! This introduction for students explains the concept of Mind Mapping, the reasons for Mind Mapping, and gives several examples. Following the short presentation, students get right to work on their very first Mind Map featuring their favorite subject...themselves! The instructions for this entry-level project are included in student-friendly terms at the end of the presentation. I’ve also included ideas for subtopics for those students who get ‘stuck.’

Because Mind Maps are a tool I incorporate all year long, I go over this presentation and students complete their Mind Map project during the first week of school. While it doubles as an engaging introduction activity for Back to School, there is no reason why you can’t introduce this concept any time during the year!
